I think more people would be interested to learn what Leica have brought to the table. A very interesting concept. Although, their camera is a passtime camera, I think an excellent starting base to get one’s foot in the door. Leica is a known brand for quality and reliability. Especially the SL range. I run a small publishing business – printing press. Now I am trying to learn new technologies to speed myself up. I started Photoshop but surely it is not the right tool for me… I tried to acquire new skills (GIMP, Fireworks, Illustrator, Photoshop) to use it in publishing business. Now all those tools are too complex. I have a Dreamweaver with CSS. But this is not doing it for me.

Hi. Photoshop CS5 was the last version I used. I had a two-year-old PC running Windows Vista Home Premium which had a GeForce 6200 graphics card. My idea was to learn both GIMP and Photoshop. I used GIMP pretty much every day for two years. Working with layers is so easy in GIMP and I could do many things in minutes with layers. But with Photoshop I could not find any layers, and I had no idea what they were. Without layers in GIMP I could not use the feature to create a new layer. After I tried for two or three months I gave up and thought about starting over with a new computer.

i have been using photoshop for yrs but i have just got a(n expensive) nikon d3200 16:9 it can shoot up to 7.5 fps but i am not sure if lr will be able to handle the files (aperto/nef-compressed cine raw 898mb) i am not going to look at editing frame by frame as the idea is to post a “walkers” lioness holding her cubs on the beach for example i will use the image to take on holiday with me ( as mentioned lr is my wifes camera) it will be a quick edit but i need to make sure it will be usable as best as i can, needless to say i am running out of space on my 2gb sd card and going to download a 30gb kingston card, any suggestions?

Adobe has announced the release of two new features for Photoshop:

The new feature called “Smart Scan” is a new content-aware technology that promises to accurately select the “most important” piece of a scanned image and automatically detect other content in the image.
The second new feature is “Live Mask.” It is a new utility for editing and deleting layers in images.

Adobe has added three brand new features to Adobe Photography Plan, the photography subscription service that allows professional and amateur photographers to get unlimited access to Adobe’s creative content.

On Photoshop Elements, updates include a machine learning-powered mobile scanner that intelligently identifies and extracts the most important aspect of an image, for content-aware retouching.
