The Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 server has been released by Canonical. The main change in this release is a better format for logging users.
This release brings a new encrypted format to user logins.
“Let’s encrypt” with OpenSSL is used. The settings are stored in the server’s user database with a password hash.
These settings are only read by the server. The passwords are not sent over any network, nor sent on the endpoints.
