General Settings
General properties are configured from a panel accessible from the right click menu of the front panel. The most interesting settings are:
Playback: Playback mode can be set from Realtime to Block. In the latter case, the tempo is fixed, and audio is processed in real time, depending on what’s playing. The playback remains synchronized with the host application, and should remain so. Usually that requires a VST host with good audio thread capabilities, but VSTHost will allow to keep everything running, even if you choose Realtime playback. Depending on your host, the audio may be more than enough under ideal conditions, but that should never be a problem.
Loop: Loopback mode can be set, which re-plays the last played buffer until Stop is pressed.
Audio output is detected automatically, but can be configured manually in order to plug in external audio output devices. A separate preview window is available for monitoring audio levels.
General Settings
Controls
The controls module comes with a lot of options, all accessible through hotkeys. The default is Control1, and may be changed via the Control panel.
Oscillator controls:
Oscillator controls can be configured in order to select which type of oscillator is used. You can use the octave select control to adjust the number of oscillators.
There are three basic types, which differ in the number of octaves used for sampling and processing, as well as in the number of presets:
Oscillator presets: Oscillator presets are available for waveforms like sine, sawtooth, triangle, ramp, and white noise. At the moment, the two last controls (ramp and white noise) cannot be configured, they are fixed to ramp and white noise respectively. The set of controls consists of a couple of oscillators, as well as two modulators, with a main control rig for general output. A special note is that you can click on the icon with 3 lines, which should be opened to the right of each control. That will let you see its configured value, as well as some other useful metrics for your reference.
